Happening on Skye
We must apologise for our lack of blogging activity recently, the bed and breakfast season is in full swing now and we don’t get a lot of free time. During the past few weeks we have been welcoming people from all over the world. Tonight our guests are from , Germany, New Zealand and Ireland. We are asked a lot to recommend eating places, we have heard good reports about Eilean Iarmain Hotel which provides superb bar meals. The Hotel is set in a very picturesque part of Skye it is next to a small harbour at Isle of Ornsay in Sleat. Thursdays and Saturdays are good nights at the Hotel as they have live music, often some of the music students from the Sabhal Mor Ostaig can be heard playing a few tunes.
Sleat is the culture capital of Skye, we are served by a wonderful rural events organisation Seall. Seall is the Gaelic for ‘Look’ and stands for Skye entertainment for all. Over the last 22 years they have sold over 80,000 tickets and they are planning their 1,000th event this Summer. There is always something happening, when you stay at Allt a Choire B&B on your Skye holiday, you may be able to visit Sleat – the garden of Skye.
