Coming home to Skye

It is always good to come home to Skye. Back in the 1800’s many Skye residents never got the chance to come home. During the Highland clearances many folk on Skye were sent off to Canada, America and Australia. I came across a really interesting web site www.theclearances.org well worth a look. We have many guests that stay at our bed and breakfast who come especially to trace their ancestors. You never know maybe you were related to a Viking! have a look and see www.ambaile.org.uk
