Isle of Skye Fairtrade – 24th March 2016 will be a day to celebrate, Skye will have been a fairtrade island for a whole year. Come along and support this great achievement by attending a FAMILY CEILIDH to celebrate the first anniversary of Skye as a Fairtrade Island. This is intended to be the first of an annual community focused celebration which will be held in different parts of Skye each year, starting with Broadford.
Broadford Hall. SATURDAY 30 APRIL 2016. 6 – 9.30 pm
On the run up to the 1st anniversary, there are a variety of events planned on Skye to celebrate fairtrade Fortnight from 29th February – 8th March. Keep an eye on the WHFP for details
You could organise your own Fairtrade Breakfast, invite some friends and support the work that is being done on Skye.
Before you finish your breakfast in the morning you’ve depended on more than half the world! Maybe this morning you have enjoyed coffee from Kenya, tea from India, bananas from Columbia, cocoa from Cote d’Ivoire on the Ivory Coast, sugar from Malawi and juice from Brazilian oranges. Hopefully they were all Free Trade.
Sit down for breakfast – Stand up for farmers.
