The Hyde Family

Skye Birds

Birds seen on Skye  We had a lovely family, the Hydes family from West Sussex stay with us for 4 days last week, they were very keen birdwatchers.  They weren’t disappointed with the amount of birds they saw on the island, they saw 66 birds,  17 of  them were seen from Allt a Choire B&B. They even had the Cuckoo fly past after breakfast one  morning .  We have more and more guests coming to stay with us who are keen birdwatchers.   To encourage the birds we have bird feeders outside each room, guests love watching all the wee birds eating the peanuts.  I get really excited when I see one that I haven’t seen before.  We have some really good bird books, you can check out what you have seen.  We have binoculars guests can borrow to have a better look at the birds, only the other day a couple of guests were looking at a golden eagle from the decking.
