I am a member of the South Skye Camera Club, we meet every second Wednesday. The SSCC photographic society formed in 2013 and now has over 30 members of all ages and from all walks of life, interested in all aspects of photography – from film to digital, from traditional landscapes to contemporary images. If you are here in Skye this July then don’t miss the first ever summer exhibition of the SSCC based in Sleat. Showcasing the stunning work of more than 20 local photographers the event runs from 9th to 27th July and is part of the annual Fèis an Eilein-Skye Festival. The event is being held in the Atrium, Arainn Chaluim Chille (main campus) at Sabhal Mòr Ostaig and admission is free. I am very excited about taking part, I have never exhibited a photograph before! I was absolutely delighted to find out that my picture had been chosen to appear on the promotional poster. Try and come along to the opening on 9th July, it promises to be a great evening.
