Sunny January on Skye

The sun finally made an appearance to-day at Allt a Choire, we have not seen much of it since the start of the year. I took the opportunity to take a walk along the old Marble Line Path. I bumped into my neighbour Donald John, he was the vet on South Skye for many years, he is now retired. He keeps a small herd of Highland Cows, one of them will be calving in March, the cows are very popular with the visitors.

This is the Auld New Year this Saturday, the Sabhal Mor Ostaig are having a Ceilidh with herring and tattie supper, I am sure there will be a few locals attending. There is always something happening on Skye.
